for everyone

Every morning before dawn, a monk went to the temple to pray.Everyday as he began his prayers, the temple cat would walk-in and brush up against him and distract him.

Eventually he decided to take some string into the temple and tie the cat to the altar while he said his devotions. This continued everyday for so many years until the old monk died. Then the young monks continued their tradition of tying the cat to the altar every morning during their devotions.

One day the cat died, so they got another cat being tied to the altar, somebody said" This is silly- why don't we get a statue?"

So they get a statue of a cat and put  it at the bottom of the altar, after a hundred of years another monk said " this is such a a beautiful statue! It's old and it's such a wonderful tradition.I think we should put it on top of the altar!"

And so as the years went by the monks used to sit and worship this cat and no one ever really knew why they did it, but it had always been there, so there had to be a reason....?!

Changing things for no reason is pointless but the fact is that nothing is constant but change. Today's giant will become tomorrows dinausar unless  they respond to the need for change.

so never fear to question  the company's old procedure, for doubt is the source of wisdom...
